Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK) imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and joints throughout the body. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, and other musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions.

Ultrasound is safe, noninvasive, does not use ionizing radiation, and is performed in the office. It is used to help diagnose different muscle, tendon, and nerve injuries. In addition, it is performed for ultrasound-guidance with injections in order to significantly increase the accuracy of needle placement when treating various musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions.
