Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a specialized preparation of the platelets that come from a patient's blood. Platelets are rich in growth factors which can help to heal injured tendons, ligaments, joints, and muscles.

A simple blood draw is performed in the office to start. The blood is then spun in a specialized medical device that concentrates and isolates the platelets. Next, the PRP is prepared and injected back into the body at the site of the injury.

Total time for this procedure is approximately 30 minutes. It is performed comfortably in the doctor's office with no need to go to a surgery center or hospital. It typically costs between $500 and $1000 depending on the exact procedure(s) being performed.

I look forward to taking care of him and other veterans like him in the future who have served our great country over the years. ... See MoreSee Less
